Piercing Aftercare
How Do I Clean My Piercing?
Think of cleaning as a minimalist ritual.
The Product: Use a sterile saline spray (0.9% Sodium Chloride) twice a day.
The Method: Spray the front and back, let it sit for a moment, and then pat it dry with sterile gauze or use a hair dryer on a cool setting.
The Rule: Never touch, twist, or rotate your jewelry. Moisture and movement are the two biggest hurdles to a perfect heal.
How Long does my piercing take to heal?
Healing is a journey, not a sprint.
Lobe Piercings: These typically take 3–4 months to season, though they won't be fully "mature" for a year.
Cartilage (Helix, Conch, Flat): These require more patience, usually taking 6–12 months.
Pro Tip: Your piercing may look healed on the outside long before the internal tissue is stable. Stick to the ritual until the very end.
What should I do if I think is something wrong?
First, don't remove the jewelry. Removing it can trap an infection or cause the channel to close instantly.
Check for Irritation: Most "bumps" are just your ear protesting pressure (like sleeping on it) or moisture.
Watch for Red Flags: If the area is throbbing, hot to the touch, or emitting a thick, green discharge, it may be an infection.
The Solution: Send us a clear photo or book a Consultation Appointment. We’re here to troubleshoot your glow and get you back on track.
How do I remove my jewelry now that it's healed?
Once your "Archive" is fully settled, swapping pieces is easy, but 14k gold requires a gentle touch.
Threadless (Press-fit): Most of our studs are threadless. To remove, hold the flat back firmly and pull the decorative top straight out. It may require a firm tug.
Seamless Hoops/Clickers: Look for the tiny hinge or seam. Gently click it open or pull the segment apart.
The Studio Safety Net: If you’re nervous or a piece feels stuck, stop. Come into the studio, we’d much rather swap it for you than have you irritate your healed piercing.
